Welcome to the website for The Log Cottage on Pokegama
Lake. We only hope to give you a small taste of the tranquility,
privacy and relaxation that you will find once you have decided to enjoy a
week at this truly authentic rustic gem of northern Wisconsin.
Situated on land that has been a part of the family for 4 generations on a
semi-private bay of Pokegama Lake near Chetek, Wisconsin, this cottage was
constructed of local white pine logs that were logged from the family farm
south of Chetek and constructed by family members in 1936. |
Once arriving you will notice the privacy of the setting, the tranquility of
the lake, the serenity of the turtle pond that is a few yards behind the cabin.
The majesty of the Bald Eagle's nest that is only 150 yards across the cove in a
tall white pine tree, and the relaxation offered by the accommodations from
sitting out in a deck chair and watching the lake to curling up in front of the
fire with a good book and a bowl of popcorn. Now prepare to enjoy your self guided tour of what this cabin can offer you
and your family on your vacation to Northern Wisconsin.
